Today, I was ruminating on the recent events that had shocked the Capital recently. The young lady's boyfriend was beaten up and the girl, brutally raped (besides penile penetration, iron rods were thrust into her vagina). They were then stripped and thrown out of the moving bus. At this very moment,the girl is battling between life and death.
On reading the news, I was shocked like everyone else. As I went through these stages of disbelief, tears and anger, I came across a different and contrasting scenario on a social networking site. The congratulatory messages had been pouring in for an old schoolmate. She had just given birth to a baby boy. Hope began to flicker...Life is truly strange, I thought. On one side, one woman's destiny had changed forever while on the other hand, a new being had come into the world.
